Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
ConTrade builds custom and precision-fit automotive components and sells them by quotation, one part at a time or by the container. This policy explains what personal information we collect through con-trade.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it.
We keep this short and specific on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to us at xuyada@126.com and we will explain it in plain language.
1. Who we are
ConTrade is a trading and manufacturing company registered in Guangzhou, China. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, we are the controller of the information described in this policy.
ConTrade
Room 101-212A, Building 2, No. 16 Lingshan East Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, China

2. What we collect
Information you give us
We only ask for what we need to quote and manufacture a part. When you submit a quote request, a wholesale RFQ, or a contact message, we collect:
- Your name, company name, email address, and phone number
- Your location (city, state or province, country)
- The vehicle platform or part you are asking about
- Quantities, target annual volume, material and finish preferences, and required lead time
- Any notes you write, and any link you paste to drawings, photos, or files hosted on another service
If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence. If you become a customer, we also keep the shipping and billing details needed to produce commercial documents and to arrange freight.
We do not ask for and do not store payment card numbers on this website. This site does not take online payments; every order is quoted and invoiced directly.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our server logs standard technical information when you visit: IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you requested, and the date and time of the request. We use this to keep the site running, to diagnose errors, and to block abusive traffic. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Cookies
This site sets a small number of functional cookies. We do not currently run third-party advertising pixels or cross-site tracking scripts on con-trade.com. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before any such script goes live.
- WordPress / login cookies — only set if you sign in to the site as an administrator. They keep you logged in and protect the login form.
- WooCommerce session cookies — may be set while you browse product pages so the site can remember your session. Because we quote rather than sell online, no payment information ever passes through them.
- Preference cookies — remember display choices such as whether a notice has been dismissed.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop you from browsing the catalogue, but it may sign you out of the admin area if you are a site administrator.
4. How we use your information
- To answer your request, confirm fitment, and send you a written quotation
- To produce your parts, arrange inspection, and book freight
- To handle warranty claims, shortages, and shipping damage
- To keep the commercial records we are required to keep as a manufacturer and exporter
- To improve the catalogue — for example, when several buyers ask about the same platform, we add it to the range
- To protect the site against spam, scraping, and fraudulent enquiries
We do not add you to a marketing list because you asked for a quote. If we ever send a trade update, it will be to buyers who asked for one, and every message will have a one-click unsubscribe.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers. We share it only where it is necessary to do the job you asked for:
- Our hosting provider — the server that runs this website and stores the enquiry database
- Our email provider — to deliver quotations and replies
- Freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers — consignee name, address, and phone number, only once you have placed an order
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or where we need to establish or defend a legal claim
Where a supplier handles data on our behalf, they are only permitted to use it for the purpose we engaged them for.
6. International transfers
ConTrade operates from China and serves customers in North America and elsewhere. Information you submit through this site is stored and processed in China, and may also pass through our hosting and email infrastructure in other countries. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism, and we apply the same protections to transferred data as we do at home.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become orders — up to 24 months, so that we can pick up an old conversation about the same platform without asking you everything again
- Customer and order records — for as long as the commercial and tax rules that apply to us require, currently up to 7 years
- Server logs — typically 30 to 90 days, unless we need to keep a record of abusive traffic
When a retention period ends, we delete the records or irreversibly anonymise them.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix information that is wrong or incomplete
- Deletion — ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law
- Portability — ask for a copy in a portable format
- Objection or restriction — ask us to stop or limit certain processing
- Non-discrimination — we will not refuse service or charge you more because you exercised a privacy right
US consumers (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and disclose, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use your information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Canada (PIPEDA): you may request access to your personal information and ask that it be corrected. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with our response.
EU/UK visitors: where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of a contract (responding to your quote request and fulfilling an order), legitimate interests (running and securing the site), and consent where we specifically ask for it. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email xuyada@126.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days and will ask for just enough information to confirm that we are talking to the right person.
9. We do not sell your personal information
ConTrade does not sell personal information, and has not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months. We do not knowingly share personal information with third parties for their own marketing. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link is required on this site — but if your reading of the law differs, write to us and we will honour the request.
10. Security
Enquiries are transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a database behind an access-controlled administration area. Only staff who need a record to quote, produce, or ship an order can open it. No website can promise absolute security, but we keep the site patched, restrict administrative access, and take regular backups.
11. Children
This site is aimed at adults buying automotive parts. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other sites
Our guides and product pages sometimes link to other websites — a manufacturer’s specification sheet, for example, or a file you shared through a cloud drive. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.
13. Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing customers will also be communicated by email.
14. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about how your information is handled, can go to xuyada@126.com. We are a small team working Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 China Standard Time (UTC+8), which is overnight in North America — expect a reply before your next business day begins. Prefer to talk it through? Call +86 158 1240 1291.
